After near 15 years living in the United States, my little cousin sister- gets the American nationality finally. And go to some place to take an oath. I forget what the place name is. It seems like a theater. The new citizens sit in the first floor, the family and guests sit on the upper floor. In the center of front, there is a big layout stage.
In the beginning, an officer comes to give a speech in many language. As many as I know: English(absolutely), Cantonese, Russian, Indian,Pilipino, etc. Speaking so hard, the man sweats.
Then many officers of different departments come to preach what they can do for the new citizens.Like how to vote, how to get a U.S passport.
In certain part, there are 60 countries or more mentioned. They should be the original nationality of the new citizens。
When the first officer says “stand up”, all people get up. And begin to sing the national anthem.
After that, a women officer leads the oath. balabala~~, another officer leads another oath.
At last, the Present Obama gives his speech video to the new citizens in the screen.
It takes one and a half hour. Then we go to take a look at the mattresses. No one is meet my feeling.
